Hak got up from where he lay.

He paused.

"Gah! Ow!" he muttered.

He cracked his neck and continued with what he was doing. He looked around, just by looking he knew there were  no survivors besides himself from that blast. His pristine armor had been covered in soot and red sand.

"Maybe war isn't all it's cracked up to be. Sigh...time's wasting! I gotta get going here!"

He trotted off down the trenches to complete his objectives.

-Meanwhile with the rest of Gamma-

"Where is Hak anyways? It's been far too long! That bloody dingbat never takes this long!" complained Slash, melee attacking an SBD with his vibro blade.

"Beat's me ner vod! Ya think the clankers got him first, or the bugs?" said Shank, putting a blaster round in the cranial servos of another droid.

"Glad to see you two are keeping good faith in our beloved sergeant..." said an annoyed Razor, as he holstered his dual DC-17 pistols, and drew his two beskar sabers from the sheaths on his back (Razor refused to take the standard DC-17, as he preferred silent kills. His squad did specialize in assassinations after all).

"Your a quiet guy Razor, we'd prefer you to stay that way di'kut!" yelled Slash over his shoulder.

"Play nice boys, these clankers just keep coming and we can't abandon this position until Hak arrives! There's gotta be a dispenser around here!" yelled Shank.

"I copy, but I'm not the one who has trouble playing nice here." said Razor.

"Pfft, you just don't play ner vod." said Shank.

"You can say that again..." said Slash.

"Shut up di'kut, your just the same!" yelled Shank back to Slash.

Razor just shook his head as he looked to the sky, as if pleading to God that the others would just stow it. Then he plunged his swords into the SDB he was standing on the back of.

                                                                         -Mid-trench area, separatist barricade-

Hak drew out an explosive charge from his pack. No one else in the squad could really be considered the explosives expert, so it fell to him to blow stuff up, but it made no difference now, because he was the only one in the trench.  He placed the charge on the barricade in front of him and turned to get distance, but found a Geonosian Elite creeping up behind him.

"Well shab. Just my kriffing luck. You're not going to kill yourself then are you? You fat ugly fierfek? C'mon then!"

He drew his rifle, as the creature lunged at him. Hak, thinking quickly, ducked and detonated the charge as the Geonosian landed on it face first.

"I take it back, you practically did kill yourself di'kut."

Hak moved on, but stopped to kick the dead Geonosian out of his path with a chuckle.

"Advisor, the barricade is blown, proceeding to meet Gamma."

"Very good Gamma lead. They should be just to the other side of the trench passage thirty degrees to your left. You'd better hurry though, they've been taking a beating from some SBDs!"

"Copy that. Those di'kute can't stay out of trouble for five minutes? Heh, I swear, some things never change."

"Aye. Some things, Gamma lead, some things never change."

                                                                                    -Back with the others-

"Shab, if he's not here now, he's dead! We gotta pull out!" yelled Slash, down to his last clip of ammo.

"I agree, we're gonna die here if we don't move soon. Razor?" said Shank.

Razor simply agreed with a silent nod to the other two.

"Right then, let-" Shank got cut off.

"Glad to see you three managed to stay alive! I'm surprised. Those two poor troopers don't seem to be so lucky..." said Hak, who strolled in casually amongs the fight with his rifle slung over his shoulder.

"AND WHERE IN THE MANDA'S NAME HAVE YOU BEEN...SIR?!" Slash yelled in hysteria, nearly forgetting to tack on the sir. He remembered what had been discussed earlier, and didn't want to disrespect Hak...again.

"I ran into some trouble. Sorry brothers." said Hak.

"Sir it's been an hour..." said Shank.

"I know, sorry. Explosions and all that. Lets move!"

They all fell back in the direction of their next objective, following their leader. Now that the squad had a little order, things should have gone more smoothly...should have.
